Drs. Dirk and Lanita Thomas have been married since 1997. Dirk grew up here in Owasso, graduating in 1990. Lanita was raised in Broken Arrow. They both attended NSU in Tahlequah for their bachelor degrees (where they met). Lanita attended Optometry school at NSU and Dirk attended OU for Dental school. They moved back to Owasso after Dirk graduated from Dental school. Lanita started Thomas Eye Care in 2000, while Dirk worked for the Indian clinic in Tulsa for three years and then he joined us starting the Dental care side in 2003. Dirk and Lanita have four children who keep them busy. Brady is 8 and is in the second grade. Colby is 6 and is in kindergarten learning to read. Both boys attend Rejoice Christian School in Owasso. Audrey is 3 and Delaney is 1. The girls are taking a Tippi Toes dance class and keeping mom on her toes in between chauffeuring brothers around.

Robert R. Vincent O.D. graduated in 1976 from Oklahoma State University after which he attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis Tennessee, graduating in 1981. He then served 3 years in the United States Air Force. In 1984, Dr. Vincent opened the Tulsa Vision Clinic which he sold in 2005. Dr. Vincent and his wife love to spend time at the beach. When they get time away, Hawaii is always their favorite destination. He has been a proud part of Thomas Dental & Eye Care since 2009, and we are proud to have him.

Kim LeFlore has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 22 years. She joined our Dental team in the fall of 2008. She graduated from East Central High School in Tulsa in 1985. After graduation she attended Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!!) for 2 years and graduated from Dental Hygiene school at Rose State College in 1989. Kim has been married for 21 years. Her husband Joe is a Ladder Captain on the Tulsa Fire Department. They have 2 children, Shelby, 19, graduated from Owasso High School in 2010 and is now a Sophomore at Oklahoma State University, majoring in Marketing? and Wesley is an freshman here in Owasso. They have a a yorkie rescue (Dierks Bentley). Kim and her family spend lots of time at the baseball field watching Wes play, he plays for the Owasso Freshman team. When not at the baseball field they love to travel….especially to warm places…they are all scuba certified and love to spend as much time under the water as possible.

Misty Maxwell is our Dental Patient Coordinator. Misty has lived in Collinsville for past 5 years and although her heart is still in Texas, she is proud to call Oklahoma home! Misty and Brett have been married for 12 years and are blessed to be the parents to Avery 8 and Riley 6. The girls keep them very busy with hip-hop, guitar, and various church activities. Misty has over 20 years of customer service experience and is looking forward to helping getting to know all the wonderful patients at Thomas Dental and Eye Care!

Dawn Schaffitzel has been a Certified Dental Assistant for 20 years. She has been assisting Dr. Thomas for over two and shares his vision and passion of providing exceptional dental care. Dawn and her husband Mark of 17 years enjoy lots of activities with their sons, Cole (12) and Wyatt (10). When not at the office you may find Dawn and her family at the football field, basketball court, camping, hunting, racing motorcycles or just hanging out at the lake with great friends.

Lacey Shriver is a 1999 Graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. She has practiced Dental Hygiene for over 12 years. Lacey has helped in many different projects including the Good Shepherd’s Mission, and has aided the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner. Lacey strives to provide patients with the highest quality care and education. She has been married to her husband Jared for 13 years and has two wonderful little girls (Gracee and Lilly). Lacey enjoys outdoor activities such as : running, swimming, boating, and water skiing. (Any excuse to spend time with her family!)

Marlo Stephens joined the practice in 2011. She is our Eye Patient Coordinator. Marlo brings 15 years of business and marketing experience to our practice. Combined with 7 years of Optometry Practice Management experience, Marlo is excited to be a part of the Thomas Eye Care Team.
